Update! When I uploaded this image originally I was not aware that Jamaica Inn - the building itself was an actual inn that had not only inspired the novel but still stands to this day on Bodmin Moor. While I've still illustrated the scene as I liked, I have re-worked the Inn to resemble the existing building more closely.
