Tyrannosaurus Rex!

This is a break from my normal routine :-) ....Many years ago, back when I was working in Rare, I wanted to try out a bit of sculpting in my spare time. I never got anywhere with it unfortunately beyond this single effort. I had no idea what I was doing. I essentially filled the bottom half of a large coke bottle with plaster and then hacked the basic shape of a T-Rex head out of it. I carved in some detail (not much) and then gave up. Somehow it made it back to Ireland with us when we moved home and remained on a shelf for years gathering dust. This weekend I decided to complete the detailing as a 'half - head bust'. I won't detail the other side (I don't think my modelling tools will survive any more trauma)...this is the result. I may paint it at some point. While the head is plaster, the teeth and bony protrusions above the brow crests are sculpted from the remaining plastic sprues from model kits...
